Oggi ho appreso che il browser Netscape ha concluso il suo cammino. La notizia è apparsa sul sito del quotidiano La Repubblica.
E’ pensare che questo browser è il mio primo programma per l’esplorazione del web iniziata nell’ormai lontano 1996, durante il corso di laurea in Informatica, utilizzato su piattaforme Digital con sistema operativo Unix.

Come visibile nel sito e come scritto nel testo riportato, il gestore consiglia, come alternative al loro browser, l’utilizzo di Firefox e Flock. A dire il vero nell’ultimo aggiornamento di Netscape, il loro browser è in tutto e per tutto uguale a queste due alternative, persino la finestra delle Impostazioni aveva lo stesso aspetto….
